Motu Patlu is an Indian animated children's television series about two friends, a rotund man named Motu and a skinny one named Patlu. The show airs on Nickelodeon and Vasantham.
In 1969, the Hindi magazine Lotpot debuted. While it was originally a bi-weekly publication, it has since switched to a weekely. The magazine follows the adventures of two brothers named Motu and Patlu, one large and the other slim.
The comic was adapted into the series Motu Patlu by producers Cosmos-Maya. On October 16th, 2012, the first episode, "John Banega Don," Motu Patlu aired on Nickelodeon. The show revolves around the characters Motu and Patlu.
